Who We Help

Religion in Egypt controls many aspects of daily life and is endorsed by law. The state religion of Egypt is Islam. 90% of the country is predominately Sunni (the largest denomination of Islam, followed by 75-90% of the world’s Muslims). The remainder of the population in Egypt is estimated at 9% Coptic Christians and 1% other denominations of Christianity and religions.

Egypt, a mostly desert country, lies along the banks of the Nile River. Despite its historical connection to Christianity, Christians in Egypt face heavy persecution.

The Esther 414 Foundation has partnered with International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) to build The Esther Church & Hope Center outside of Cairo, Egypt to help spread Christ-like love and plant the seeds of salvation offered through Jesus.

The Esther 414 Foundation is working in conjunction with our partners in the USA and Egypt to provide a permanent church building and practical discipleship tools for oral learners. Trained, local and established pastors are preparing the congregation and community to provide vital outreach ministries. The Esther Church & Hope Center will offer Bible studies for salvation through Jesus Christ, as well as food distribution, education, medical clinic, children’s day care, orphan care, vocational training, and emergency shelter.

Some may have heard the Gospel and given their lives to Christ, but they have no place to worship and no way to understand the Bible. Without tools to grow their faith, new Christians become discouraged. We are committed to solving this problem by equipping believers in Egypt to establish a healthy church that also serves as a community center.

Christians in Egypt are heavily discriminated against and persecuted. We are devoted to making a positive impact in their lives on earth and eternity.

Help spread the gospel. Help provide Christians a safe place to worship. Help by giving Hope.

We thank you for making this project possible.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished.” Phillippians 1:6
